Design a logo for unique and memorable pony parties for kids. Logo needs to feel outdoorsy and child-friendly. Branding to roll out to print promotion, invitations and apparel. Must have strong, eye-catching colour, to stand out and look 'jolly'.
Jolly Jockeys is based in Cheshire and offer pony parties, pony hire, toddler mornings, pony fun days and lessons. They offer educational experiences which help to develop self-confidence, acquire new skills, build self awareness, and help generate sensitivity towards animals, but ultimately they provide lots of fun for kids!
The logo itself had to feature a pony, for obvious reasons. This was sketched out, along with the horse shoe and ribbon to feel like a crest or coat of arms, sort of an academy for a make-believe pony club. Once redrawn digitally, I applied some distressed texture to make it feel a little more rugged and outdoorsy. Bright coloured jockey pattern features on the print material and bunting in purple yellow and green - it's a party after all.
Since the business started and the new branding has been rolled out, Jolly Jockeys has been very busy with bookings, which is not surprising really. Learning to ride, groom and take care of ponies creates memories that will last a lifetime. It is an opportunity to have a birthday party your child will never forget.
