A suite of bespoke wedding stationery that feature floral illustrations in bright shades of pink, coral and peach. Informal but sophisticated. Wedding to be held at Bodnant Welsh Food Centre - a spectacular setting on the River Conwy with the mountains of Snowdonia beyond.
Mandy (the bride) is both a friend and a client that I have worked with previously. She owns a very reputable beauty spa in the village that I live and work in. This salon transports you into a haven of tranquility, no joke, it's pure magic!
Mandy approached me to design some tailor made wedding invitations for her and I jumped at the chance. Ever the romantic, I couldn't wait to work on her designs and wanted to know all about the floral ideas, colour schemes and, of course, the wedding dress. She wanted the design to be based around the colours she was using and the floral arrangements that Andrea at Luna Flower had talked through with her (by the way, check out the branding I created for Luna Flower). I quickly went about free hand sketching a load of flowers, buds and leaves that I then re-drew digitally and coloured up to Mandy's specifications. I used a brush font for the main lettering and used a more structured sans serif font for the rest of the information. She loved them, I loved working on them, happy days.
Once the main elements had been created it's was just a case of reusing and reconfiguring them to create place name cards, table plans, table numbers, welcome posters and menus.
I have designed lots of bespoke wedding stationery and it's something I always enjoy working on. Everybody's visions are different and I get a kick out of being part of making that vision a reality for them. I will be working on a range of greetings cards, personalised invitations and prints that will be available over on my shop soon.
